"Maleficent"———-We tried to recreate the artwork by Sakimi chan Unfortunately it was pretty difficult since the collar gives me very little movement in the neck area but we tried!Genderbend Maleficent cosplay, props, makeup and editing by keltoncos.Custom Sclera lenses by Samhain Contact LensesAssistants: Kohalu Cosplay, Dustin Young, Jonathan ChuaPhotography by Muze’s photography and cosplayBased on the design by Sakimi chan. I love Maleficent’s character in the original Disney animated film Sleeping Beauty so I took a lot of design elements from that. However I also love the sculpt of the horns that Rick Baker did for Angelina in the 2014 film (which I am not a fan of sadly). The horns were sculpted and cast in slip latex as was the front of the collar (the back is worbla) and the gem is resin. The wings were constructed from PVC pipes and worbla and the skin of the wings were created with sheets of liquid latex.I am really happy I finally got to shoot this costume! It was such a labor of love and although it’s probably my most uncomfortable costume yet, I really love all the details I put into it! It also provided lots of challenges - I learned how to work with worbla, make articulated wings and I got to sculpt horns and ears!!

Makeup test for my Genderbend Maleficent cosplay from Disney’s Sleeping Beauty. This isn’t the complete outfit (since I couldn’t get the wings on by myself also my raven is camera shy now) and it’s a pretty difficult outfit to wear - I have 21 yards of fabric in the cape alone. Also there are lots of armor pieces (4 shoulder pieces, a belt, 2 thigh armors, two wrist bracers, collar ) I love this costume though it’s probably one of the most complex costumes I’ve made so far. Also I apologize the photos aren’t great! It was really hard taking all these pics on my own X_X The horns, collar and ears were sculpted and molded and run in slip latex (The collar has a clear resin gem so it can light up). The armor is all craft foam and worbla. I based the design off Sakimi Chan’s gorgeous artwork and took elements I liked from the 1959 Disney movie and some elements from the new 2014 adaptation (the horn design mainly). I tried to maintain a strong dragon motif with this one so I got custom slit pupil sclera lenses from Samhain Contact lenses - they do amazing work so check them out! Will be getting a photoshoot done real soon!Based on the artwork by Sakimi ChanOutfit, props and makeup by keltoncosCustom sclera contact lenses by Samhain Contact Lenses (http://samhaincontactlenses.com)

Cool Raiden dude from ComicCon I forgot to post. They had such a ridiculously pretty face, truly worthy of everyone’s favourite Bowieborg.

Drew up an Elsaficent! :D Left the wings out because I figure in some AU Hans would rip off her wings and Elsa would go on some rampage freezing everything in sight, haha.

We did a shoot at Mammoth Mountain in California. Was such an amazing experience to get to shoot in snow though it proved a lot harder than I had anticipated - strong winds and lots of sunlight being reflected by all the snow. But I’m so happy with how the pics came out! I owe my helpers big time for working so hard behind the scenes to make the shoot a success! Elisar (Genderbend Elsa) cosplay, and makeup by Kelton.
